What you'll do

As a Senior QA Engineer specializing in performance testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of our complex IT systems, including backend, frontend, and hardware components. You will lead the development and execution of performance testing strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure our systems meet the highest standards of performance under various loads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive performance testing strategies for complex IT systems, including backend, frontend, and hardware components.
  • Conduct performance tests for REST APIs, WebSocket implementations, and end-to-end workflows.
  • Define and collect key performance metrics, optimizing system performance across distributed architectures.
  • Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Hardware Engineering, and QA teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using automation tools.
  • Utilize monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana for metrics collection and visualization.
  • Analyze logs with Loki to troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Conduct chaos testing to identify system weaknesses and improve resilience.
  • Stay updated with modern observability practices and tools.

Who are we looking for?

  • A team player 
  • An expert with at least 8 years of experience in software testing. 
  • Commercial experience with JavaScript and Node.js in production environments.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Artillery.io and its ecosystem.
  • Deep understanding of WebSocket protocol and implementation.
  • Experience with REST API testing and optimization.
  • Proficiency in defining and collecting performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of metrics collection frameworks and monitoring tools.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Hands-on experience with Prometheus for metrics collection.
  • Knowledge of Grafana for dashboard creation and visualization.
  • Experience with Loki for log aggregation and analysis.
  • Understanding of modern observability stacks.
  • Experience with chaos testing.
  • Fluent command of English and Polish with effective business communication skills (at least B2/C1) 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with browser testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium with PyTest).
  • Familiarity with mobile testing using Appium with Python.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
