We are looking for a Head of Software who can oversee a software organization of at least 40 developers.

Our requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with software development teams, preferably in coding in various languages (C#, .NET, JS, React.js, Node.js, etc.) 
  • 4+ years of experience managing software engineers/developers, technical leads 
  • Experience overseeing a software organization of at least 40 engineers 
  • Proven ability to build new teams, structures, and divisions 
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills 
  • Troubleshooting 
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and requests 
  • Experience in goal setting 
  • Drive to get things done, takes ownership, positive attitude
  • Academic/technical degree in software engineering 
  • Experience in dependency and risk management 
  • Experienced Agile practitioner 
  • C1 level in English is necessary to ensure the ability to communicate effectively about business and technical subjects with our customers, project teams, and business stakeholders

  • Experience in IoT projects

Your responsibilities 

  • Ensuring the technical quality of our software 
  • Mapping and implementing strategies that support the growth and maturity of our organization
  • Maintaining and improving the engineering job families 
  • Ensuring that all engineers have both performance and development goals 
  • Helping engineers grow and mature by providing regular training 
  • Working with the Director of Product Delivery  
  • In collaboration with the Management, adjusting the size and composition of Software Teams to meet the business needs
  • Describing/setting the standard for all engineering processes 
  • Ensuring continuous technical improvements, better teamwork, and knowledge sharing 

Must have 8+ years of experience in working with software teams

4+ years of experience managing software engineers | English C1 | technical background

  • Development framework: Agile (Scrum) 
  • Work tracking and documenting: Jira, Confluence

Can I work 100% remotely?
We love meeting in person in our offices in Leszno, Katowice, Poznań and Wrocław, but yes, you can work 100% remotely and have flexible working hours if the position you applied for allows it.
