We are looking for a Head of Embedded who can oversee our combined hardware and embedded teams, which include 20 members (electronics engineers and developers). We’re eager to hire an expert from the Silesia area who is happy to work from our office in Katowice several times a month or as needed.

Our requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams as a technical leader or functional manager
  • 4+ years of experience in embedded software development (C, C++)
  • Experience with hardware solutions
  • Experience working in an agile development environment / with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Experience supporting new product development projects
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • C1 level in English is necessary to ensure the ability to communicate effectively about business and technical subjects with our customers, project teams, and business stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience in IoT projects

Your responsibilities 

  • Effectively leading a team of hardware and embedded software engineers
  • Ensuring the technical quality of our hardware and software
  • Mapping and implementing strategies that support the growth and maturity of our organization
  • Providing leadership, fostering creativity, and actively encouraging innovation, ensuring the team uses modern techniques and technologies
  • In collaboration with management, adjusting the size and composition of hardware and embedded teams to meet business needs
  • Describing/setting standards for all engineering processes
  • Ensuring continuous technical improvements, better teamwork, and knowledge sharing
  • Working with management to define and complete development projects to align with our product strategies and achieve business goals
  • Responsible for hardware and software architecture, software development, code modernization, cybersecurity-related software, and lifecycle maintenance of the automation control systems portfolio.

Must have 5+ years of experience in working with embedded teams

Managing hardware and embedded engineers | English C1 | Strong technical background (4+ years)

Can I work 100% remotely?
We love meeting in person in our offices in Leszno, Katowice, Poznań and Wrocław, but yes, you can work 100% remotely and have flexible working hours if the position you applied for allows it. Some positions may require you to collaborate with team members in one of our offices. If this is the case, our Recruitment Specialist will let you know.
